Frequently asked questions
Practical answers about our services, how to get in touch and what to expect.
Getting started
Who do you support?
Prospective university students, undergraduate, master’s and postgraduate students, PhD and doctoral researchers, independent researchers, and professionals seeking further academic or educational development.
What services do you provide?
RSI Consultants offers Private Tutoring & Academic Support, Personalised Mentoring Programmes, Research & PhD Guidance, Proofreading & Academic Development, University & PhD Admissions Guidance and Educational Consultancy. Our services page explains what each one covers, and our approach to academic integrity explains how our support is designed to help you learn.
How do I know which type of support I need?
Start with the challenge you most need help with. If you are unsure, or need help with several areas, choose “Not sure yet” in the enquiry form and describe your situation, and we will suggest suitable support. Educational consultancy is also a good starting point if your question does not fit neatly into one of our other services.
How do I make an enquiry?
Use the enquiry form, email us or send a message on WhatsApp. It helps to include your subject and level of study, the stage you have reached, the support you are looking for and any deadline. You can also attach supporting documents to the enquiry form, such as a brief, a draft or feedback.
Can I contact RSI Consultants through WhatsApp?
Yes. You can message us on WhatsApp (+44 7747 194501), opens in a new tab. You can also email orders@rsiconsultants.co.uk or use the enquiry form.
Do you work with international clients?
Yes. International enquiries are welcome. Our tutoring, mentoring and consultancy are provided online, one-to-one, so you can take part from wherever you are.
Our services
Do you offer ongoing mentoring?
Yes. Mentoring provides structured, one-to-one guidance built around your own goals. It can be arranged as individual sessions, a short programme or ongoing mentoring, and typically involves goal setting, progress reviews and feedback. Durations and fees are agreed individually.
What does research and PhD guidance include?
Guidance at each stage of the research journey: exploring and refining a topic, framing research questions, research planning and proposal development, literature-review strategy, methodology and research design, data-analysis guidance and interpretation of findings, and viva preparation. The aim is to strengthen your own research skills and understanding.
What does proofreading and academic development include?
Proofreading for grammar, spelling and punctuation, clarity and consistency, formatting and referencing, with feedback on academic style and structure. Comments explain suggested changes, so that each document also helps you develop as a writer. Many universities limit the proofreading that students may receive for assessed work, so please check your institution’s policy and tell us about any restrictions.
Do you provide university and PhD admissions guidance?
Yes. We provide independent guidance for undergraduate, master’s, postgraduate and PhD applicants: exploring study options, choosing programmes, understanding entry requirements, application planning, academic CVs, personal statements, research proposals, interview preparation and preparing for discussions with potential supervisors. We are not an official representative or admissions agent of any university, and we do not provide visa or immigration advice.
Fees and timing
How are fees determined?
Fees depend on the type of support, the scope and complexity of the work, and the timescale. We confirm the fee with you before any work begins, and payment methods and terms are set out in your quotation or service agreement.
How quickly can support begin?
This depends on the service, the scope of the work and current availability. Please include any deadline in your enquiry. We will let you know whether the support you need can be provided within it, and confirm the timescale before work begins.
Privacy and outcomes
How is my information handled?
Project information and communications are handled professionally and used only as necessary to respond to your enquiry and provide the agreed service. Our Privacy Policy explains this in more detail. Please do not share highly sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for your enquiry.
Do you guarantee academic results or university or PhD admission?
No. Results depend on many factors, including your own work and how your institution assesses it, so we cannot guarantee any particular grade, mark or outcome. Admissions decisions are made solely by the relevant institution: RSI Consultants provides independent educational guidance and does not guarantee admission, offers or supervisor acceptance.
Ready to discuss your needs?
Tell us your level, your goals and the support you are looking for. We will reply with suggestions, and confirm the scope, timescale and fee before any work begins.
